WHEN THIS MEDICINE SHOULD BE USED?

This medicine is indicated in the short-term treatment of dry and irritating coughs in children from 6 to 15 years old, weighing more than 20 kg.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE


FOR CHILDREN FROM 6 TO 15 YEARS OLD ONLY, WEIGHING MORE THAN 20 KG.

  • Children weighing over 20 kg up to 35 kg, i.e. over 6 years old up to the age of around 12: one 2-ml measuring spoonful (small spoon) per dose, to be repeated after 4 hours if required, without exceeding 6 measuring spoonfuls per day.

 

  • Children weighing between 35 and 50 kg, i.e. aged around 12 to 15 years: one 4-ml measuring spoonful (big spoon) per dose, to be repeated after 4 hours if required, without exceeding 6 measuring spoonfuls per day.

 

METHOD AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION

Oral route.

LEAVE AN INTERVAL OF AT LEAST 4 HOURS BETWEEN EACH DOSE
This medicine should only be taken at the times when the cough occurs. For example, for a cough that only occurs in the evening, a single dose of this medicine in the evening may be enough.

 

TREATMENT DURATION

The maximum treatment duration is 5 days.
