Wound cleaning and antiseptics

How to disinfect a wound

Grazes, burns, cuts, various wounds... it is essential to carefully disinfect the wound. Antisepsis is the use of products (antiseptics) to remove any germs present on the surface of the skin following an injury (grazes, cuts, etc.).

Carefully wash your hands before dealing with a wound. Use running water to remove foreign matter (grit, soil, sand, etc.), which can cause infection. Disinfect using a sterile compress soaked with an antiseptic product. Do not use any coloured products on the wound before disinfecting, since this prevents you being able to see how the wound is healing.
