Filmogen: how does it work?

Urgo Damaged Nails forms a protective, stabilising film over the nail's surface from the time of application; this protects it from micro-biological or chemical attacks or physical insults. The product will also penetrate inside the nail and stabilise its structure, thereby encouraging fresh growth of healthy, regenerated and well-protected nails.

How do I use Urgo Damaged Nails Filmogen?

Urgo Damaged Nails can be applied very easily each day to clean, dry nails. Its brush lets you spread the product evenly over the nail's surface, the surrounding skin and under the open tip of the nail.


Invisible and odourless, it dries very rapidly, will quickly penetrate into the nail structure, and requires neither filing nor the use of any solvent for removal. A simple and swift task, whose effectiveness depends partly on your diligence. Since the film is water-soluble, we therefore advise you to apply it before retiring for the night, which will allow the product to remain on the nail for longer. Urgo Damaged Nails is not a nail varnish. If you wish, you can also apply a cosmetic varnish on top of the protective film. Do not then forget to remove the varnish before again applying Urgo Damaged Nails.

Treatment follow-up

The results of treatment using Urgo Damaged Nails will be visible in new nail growth: do not expect instant visible results. The sooner the attack is treated, the sooner it will disappear! The nail will grow on average 1 cm per quarter in the case of hands, and 1/3 cm in the case of feet. New growth will proceed less rapidly with advancing age.

Practical advice

  • Cut your nails short
  • Wash and dry your feet, paying special attention to the gaps between the toes
  • Avoid sharing bath-towels
  • Wear socks made of cotton and leather shoes
  • Avoid wearing tight-fitting shoes
  • Wear sandals in cloakrooms/changing-rooms, swimming pools, saunas and communal showers

  • Do not smoke
  • Reseal firmly after use
  • Do not use if you are allergic to any of the constituents of Urgo Damaged Nails
  • Keep out of reach and sight of children
  • Do not use after the use-by date shown on the packaging
  • Possible side-effect : In very rare cases, skin irritation may occur around the treatment area.
